Annie Miklus is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. She brings over 20 years of experience as a player and a coach. She attended Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!!) and took her volleyball talents to the competitive club program for three years. Annie served as an officer of the club and was awarded Most Valuable Offensive Player. After college, she moved to New England where she fielded numerous USAV women’s teams to compete nationally each year. This is where her coaching experience began as an Assistant Coach at Regis University and eventually, she moved on to become the head coach of Emerson College.
After nearly 10 years in Boston, Annie moved out west to Denver, Colorado. During this time, she transitioned her volleyball career to outdoor doubles competing at the highest-level tournaments in the state. She soon found herself coaching again and incepted the Women’s Club volleyball program at the University of Denver. Growing the program from one team of eight to holding tryouts and creating two teams due to increased interest in the program. She was awarded Division II National Coach of the Year in her last year.
Annie is passionate about making sure the game is still fun while being competitive. Sharing the joy of the sport that has been with her for over 20 years. In her free time, she spends time discovering the Tampa area with her two Goldendoodles, Sofie and Buster Brown or playing beach doubles whenever she has the opportunity.
