Richard Blalock

At RADDSports, our Mission is to Change the Culture of Sport through Training, Development and Programing, Preparing every Individual for Success.

To accomplish the Company Mission, president and CEO Richard Blalock brings 44 years of experience in program and event development, facility development, as well as developing public-private partnerships.

To move the Mission forward, he worked with the RADDSports Team to design, develop, and now manage the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus of Pasco County. RADDSports is the first to take a 98,000 square-foot multipurpose facility from concept and design to construction and management to ensure success in event marketing and local programming. With the success at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus, he and the RADDSports Team currently are designing and preparing for the construction of the Alachua County Sports Arena at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Florida, where RADD will again be creating the programming for and managing the facility.

While with the City of Newberry, Richard was instrumental in working with various Federal, State, County and Local Commissions and Councils to develop and fund the construction of Champions Park, a state-of-the-art, 16-field baseball/fastpitch softball facility. He also led the City of Newberry’s efforts to develop a partnership with the Easton Sports Development Foundation, in order to develop the Easton- Newberry Sports Complex, a 100-acre facility that has not only traditional recreation facilities but also an archery training facility that has been recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as one of only ten Community Olympic Development Program (ODP) archery sites in the United States.

Richard has served on various community boards, including 33 years on the Gainesville Sports Commission Board of Directors, where he also is a past President. He spent 20 years as a Sports Director for the Florida Sports Foundation, and served 5 years on the Board of Directors of the Alachua Community Task Force on Recreation, where he also is a past President, and 3 years on the Board of the Newberry–Jonesville Chamber of Commerce.
